Accounting Controller

Our company currently has 3 main divisions: buying and selling houses (FasterHouse), educational courses (FasterFreedom), and renting out houses, apartments and storage facilities (Midwest Property Group). We are growing rapidly, and we are looking for an Accounting Controller to run and grow our Accounting Department right along with us! The Accounting Controller manages and oversees the daily operations of the Finance Department. They are an integral part of the entire company’s financial success.

Accounting Controller Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Lead/Manage accounting team/department
  • Prepare, analyze and distribute the m/e, q/e and y/e financial reports for all FasterHouse companies
  • Prepare and deliver tax documents to CPA
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the company performance
  • Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for annual audit(s)
  • Develop and maintain accounting processes
  • Checks & balances review process
  • Manage & maintain the appropriate insurance policies for all companies (with the help of company leaders)
  • Manage/execute money movement between accounts (LOCs, private lenders, hard money, etc)
  • Own the payroll process for hourly and salary employees
  • Manage company benefits: Bonuses/profit share, 401K, health/dental/vision insurance and short-term disability
  • Evaluate accounting software as business needs change/grow
  • Fill in for staff accountant if necessary

Compensation:

  • $80,000 – $100,000 Annual Salary
  • Profit Share: Up to 10% of annual salary
